Feng Shui Crystals

What is the Feng Shui faceted crystal used for: 

This ability to split a beam of light and send it radiating in many directions makes faceted crystal balls an ideal protection against "secret arrows" of sha (negative) chi. This feng sui cure also radiates blessings wherever it is placed, and is a powerful magnifier of your intention.

For added impact, you can hang your feng shui crystal from a red string or ribbon cut to a multiple of nine inches (9", 18", 27"). The ball can hang any distance from the ceiling; it's the cut length of the string that is important. If you buy crystal balls from a feng shui supplier, they may come with red cord already attached. 

Another way to add power to your crystal is to use a beaded string that includes smaller crystals and accent beads in colors that support the energy of a specific intention or area of the ba gua (green and purple for prosperity, for example, blues and black for career, or pinks and red for romance). Semi-precious stone beads such as amethyst, peridot, garnet, turquoise, onyx, and rose quartz can also be used to add beauty and good vibrations. 

You can also place a faceted crystal ball on a desk, table, or home altar. Wear a little one on a red ribbon around your neck to activate your personal chi, or hang one from the rear-view mirror of your car to enhance, bless, and protect you while you drive. 

Here are some other places to hang feng shui crystals:

• In a long narrow hallway with little or no light
• In a dark corner that easily accumulates stagnant energy
• In an area of your house with too much chaotic energy, such as a small space with too many doors
• In areas that promote fast-moving chi, to slow down the movement; such as when front and back doors are aligned or where a staircase faces a door.
• In front of a window
• Between a stove and sink in the kitchen, to help promote harmony in this clash between fire (stove) and water (sink)
• In a missing corner, to help anchor energy and complete the missing corner
• Over a desk or other work area to improve concentration

Cleansing Crystals

Before using new feng shui crystals, wash them under cold water (or using another method of your choice), then leave them in the sun for several hours (typically four or more). This recharges the crystal with sunlight and disperses and releases existing old energies.

To keep your crystals' energy fresh and working over time, it is very important to cleanse your crystals periodically, as needed. At first, you might want to cleanse them according to a regular schedule, such as with every other new moon. But as you develop a close connection with your crystals' energies, you'll probably sense when it is time to cleanse them to release negative energies and recharge the crystals with fresh light and energy.
